Metropolitan Metaphysical Church
Declaration of Principles
.
This
is the Declaration of Principles as accepted by the United Metaphysical
Churches.
1. We believe in God, as Infinite Intelligence.
(This
Infinite Intelligence, in the form of pure energy, is the source of all
creation, unconditional love and power. It is what we believe God is; not
a personified being.
2.
We believe that the phenomena of nature, both physical and
(Everyone
and everything is part of God’s consciousness. Everyone and everything
is connected to God. Everyone and everything is infinite, powerful,
perfect, whole and complete, just as God is.
3. We
affirm that a correct understanding of such expression and
(Religion
realigns our thoughts with these truths. We use truth to create our
perfect world—our heaven here on earth.
4. We
believe in personal responsibility, and that we create our own happiness or
unhappiness as we live in harmony or discord with natural, physical and
spiritual laws.
( We create the
world based on our consciousness. As our consciousness shifts to be in
accordance with the truths listed above, we realign with God and experience the
bliss of union.)
5. We affirm the existence and personal identity of the individual continues after leaving the physical world.
(You
are no less a soul with a name and love for your family after you pass to the
spirit side of life than you were before you left here)
6. We affirm that communication with Spirit is a natural experience and is proven through mediumship.
(We
all have the innate ability to touch in with Divine Guidance. Some develop
this ability, some don’t. However, many years of evidence presented
though mediumship
has offered proof that the demonstration of spiritual gifts described in the
Bible is still valid today.)
7. We affirm that spiritual gifts, including prophecy and healing contained in the Bible and other Sacred Texts are divine attributes proven through mediumship.
(See
number 6.
8. We
believe that the highest morality is contained in the Golden Rule: " Do
unto others as you would have them do unto you."
(Everyone
and everything is a manifestation of God’s unconditional love, so we treat
ourselves, everyone and everything with dignity, respect, reverence and love.
9. We affirm that the doorway to reformation is never closed to any human soul here or hereafter.
(Our perception can shift at any time.
We can transform any situation by invoking the Amazing Grace of God.
)
We recommend the George M. Lamsa's translation of the Holy Bible from the ancient Aramaic text. The Metaphysical Church does not accept the Bible as the infallible word of God, but as an inspired collection of stories based on the spiritual laws of the Universe seeking to help man unfold his own divinity.
"Greater
things than I have done, ye shall do also!"
